About Scott Dolphin

I started my design and party planning career at the age of 9. I decided to stage a lavish wedding in my parents gazebo.
I remember we had a surplus of brides....exactly who the intended groom was escapes me at this moment,
probably my best friend Warren...he had cool hair.
My cohorts and I raided every garden on the block to satisfy my floral requirements and
I used my mothers sheets as material to make wedding and bridesmaids dresses for the little girls on my block

I can say that, in then end, the girls were thrilled... my Mom, maybe not so much!

A few years after this smashing social success, and a stint in a dozen design schools or so, I opened Scott Dolphin Studio.
I'm a sucker for innovative design in all it's aspects. I have had the good fortune to gain extensive professional experience
in a variety of design disciplines; Theatre, Fashion, Textiles, Graphics, Landscaping and Web Design however,
my passion is and has always been for Interior Design.

While I am fascinated by and appreciate cutting edge design, I am a classicist at heart.
I love Frank Lloyd Wright (in a way that only another empirical detail obsessed megalomaniac can) however palladian balance and symmetry make my pulse race.
It is my unwavering credo that good design never really goes out of style regardless of current fashion trends.
It is possible for something to be both functional, practical and beautiful. Great design is all about context and presentation.
